Her latest movie, Rust and Bone, premiered during the annual film festival, and before the screening, Marion was chosen for a special tribute. The Oscar-winner reflected on her career as an actress as she accepted the honor. She told the audience she almost quit the profession completely in her 20s because she was frustrated by the unsatisfying roles that were coming her way. Before she moved on, her agent convinced her to take one last meeting, which turned out to be with director Tim Burton. Marion was cast in his film Big Fish, and she said that the chance to work with a creative force like Tim renewed her passion for her craft. Marion wore a Dior gown last night and posed for pictures on the red carpet with her costar Matthias Schoenaerts. Rust and Bone is already receiving great reviews and earned an overwhelming round of applause at last night's screening. The movie interweaves the stories of Marion's character, a whale trainer, and Matthias's, a single father, as their paths unexpectedly cross.
