California Supreme Court Denies Nicollette Sheridan in "Desperate Housewives" Case Nov 17th 2012, 21:54 (GettyImages.com) The California Supreme Court has denied Nicollette Sheridan's appeal in her “Desperate Housewives” wrongful termination case. It’s the latest setback for the actress, whose years-long legal battle against ABC and Touchstone Television concerns her 2009 firing from “Desperate Housewives” following several seasons. Sheridan claims producers retaliated against her after she complained publicly that the show’s creator Marc Cherry had physically attacked her. Her battery claims against Cherry were eventually dismissed. Last March, Sheridan’s case against the network and producers ended in mistrial, after which the star’s request for a rehearing of her claims was rejected, leading Sheridan to appeal to the state’s Supreme Court. In a ruling announced on Friday, chief justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye wrote, “The petition for review is denied. The request for an order requesting depublication of the opinion is denied.” It’s not clear whether Sheridan intends to continue seeking legal options. Follow @GossipCop on Twitter!
