For USA Gymnast and Olympic Women's All-Around gold medalist, Gabby Douglas, that show would be the CW's The Vampire Diaries. Douglas, 16, is in Mystic Falls (in Atlanta) Wednesday filming a cameo role and we have your first look at her with star Ian Somerhalder via his twitter. What did the rest of the cast tweet about Douglas? Series star Nina Dobrev had hinted at the "flying squirrel" coming to set Tuesday night, tweeting "@gabrielledoug is coming to The Vampire Diaries set tomorrow! Cant wait to meet and work with you girl! Dont forget to bring your bling! :P." She also tweeted a photo with Douglas: Nina Dobrev on WhoSay 'the vampire diaries' season 4 premiere pics! 16 Photos » Proving that even TV actresses can be fangirls, she followed up her hint with this tweet this morning: "First thought at 530am when I woke up this morning : "What to wear when meeting an Olympian Gold Medallist [sic]?" The appearance was also confirmed during an interview Celebuzz had with Kat Graham (Bonnie) on Wednesday morning. The Vampire Diaries cast and creators, especially executive producer Julie Plec, are big supporters of the Olympian. In August, Somerhalder, Dobrev and other cast members made a video congratulating her and her teammates on their performances during the 2012 Summer Olympics. Plec also engaged in a twitter conversation with the pint-sized gymnast as well about a possible cameo appearance. Watch their congratulatory video below.
