2012 American Music Awards red carpet Nov. 18. He also thanked Pattie, along with manager
Scooter Braun, when he accepted the award for Favorite Pop/Rock Artist — but for obvious reasons, left Selena out of his big speech.
"First of all, I want to say, this is for all the haters who thought that maybe I was here for one or two years — but i feel like I'm gonna be here for a long time," Justin said after his first victory. "Second of all, I want to thank my mom, Scooter Braun for being a mentor and role model ... wanna thank my family at home; thank all of my beautiful, beautiful fans; and last thing, I love everybody!"
