The CW has issued a press release, announcing the premiere date for their
highly anticipated new series --
The Carrie Diaries!
The Carrie Diaries, starring
AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie Bradshaw, will have its series premiere on
Monday Jan. 14 at 8PM ET, bumping
90210 to its new slot at 9PM ET!
According to The CW, the premise of the series goes as follows (just in case you're not up to par on the original series
Sex and the City):
"The Carrie Diaries takes place in 1984, where life is not easy for 16-year-old Carrie Bradshaw. Since their mother passed away, Carrie's younger sister Dorritt is more rebellious than ever, and their father Tom is overwhelmed with the responsibility of suddenly having to care for two teenage girls on his own.
