Tragedy struck a basketball legend and his family today, as Alexandra "Sasha" McHale - the daughter of NBA Hall of Famer and Houston Rockets Head Coach Kevin McHale - passed away.
She was only 23.
No further details have been released, but McHale left the Rockets on November 10 to attend to a family matter. He has not returned since to the sideline.
Houston Team owner Leslie Alexander said in a statement that he extends his ''deepest condolences'' over the loss of the McHale's ''beautiful daughter.''
He referred to Kevin and wife Lynn 'as 'loving and dedicated parents who will need our continued support throughout this very difficult time," adding that the ''entire organization is mourning.''
