Chris Brown Did NOT "Cancel" Guyana Concert; Show Never Confirmed Nov 22nd 2012, 20:36 (GettyImages.com) A widespread report claims Chris Brown has canceled a concert in Guyana because of local protests concerning his 2009 violence against then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown was allegedly slated to headline a December 26 stadium show before he was supposedly forced to withdraw amid complaints from women’s rights groups and lawmakers, according to the Associated Press. The report cites a Thursday announcement from event organizers. But Gossip Cop has learned this version of events is NOT true. Brown was NEVER confirmed to do the concert in question. A source close to the R&B star tells Gossip Cop the promoter is “being untruthful” about Brown’s commitment, and that his participation in the show had not been finalized.
