TMZ tracked Carrie Fisher down and in between mouthfuls of Vicodin and Cutty Sark, everyone's favorite Alderaanian Princess said that she would return to play the role of Leia Organa in Star Wars: Episode VII if Disney asks. While Fisher seemed caught off guard by the sudden presence of cameras following her walking her dogs and eventually following her into an elevator, sufficed to say you can probably take her at her word, for as she tells one of the paparazzi on her tail, given the chance to be in a new Star Wars movie, 'wouldn't you?'

This comes on the heels of yesterday's revelation that Harrison Ford would consider returning to the franchise as that fast-talking rogue smuggler Han Solo, despite decades of criticism against the role that made him famous, wishing he'd been killed off in Return of the Jedi to complete Solo's arc as opposed to Lucas letting him live as an excuse to just sell more toys.

Yesterday also revealed that X-Men First Class director Matthew Vaughn is being shortlisted to take over directorial duties on the next installment in the Star Wars saga, explaining why the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels producer suddenly evacuated the director's chair from the X-Men sequel. Still no word from Mark Hamill on whether or not he'd return to the franchise as Luke Skywalker, but considering Hamill's calendar is probably pretty full, I'd imagine he's already camped out in front of Disney like fanboys outside a theater on opening day of Phantom Menace.
