The Monégasque royals were in NYC last night for the 30th Princess Grace awards gala, which was held at Cipriani 42nd Street. Last year's event brought out Anne Hathaway to honor Julie Christie, Anne's The Princess Diaries costar. The 2012 bash honored other prominent individuals in drama, dance, and film. The Princess Grace foundation annually hands out scholarship to help artists early in their careers. Last night, we got to watch as the Prince and Princess entered Cipriani's and mingled with their guests. Many double air-kisses and photographs later, Charlene and Albert took their seats for the gala, hosted by journalist Paula Zahn, to begin. Princess Charlene wore an ivory silk gown, with a detailed halter-neck, to accompany her tuxedo-clad husband around the space as they were welcomed by a Big Apple crowd eager to rub shoulders with visiting royalty.
