After undergoing a bone marrow transplant on September 20, Robin Roberts has finally been released from the hospital! We're so happy to hear this amazing news!
"There's no place like home. After 30 days in the hospital I'm home. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Thank YOU and bless YOU. XO," Robin, 51, tweeted on Oct. 11.
Robin has been combatting a rare blood disorder, myelodysplastic syndrome, since June and shared with fans last week on Oct. 24 that her recovery was going very well after receiving blood from her sister, Sally-Ann.
"Today is what I like to call "Thankful Thursday, aka Friday Eve." I have been in the hospital 25 days now. My bone marrow transplant took place exactly two weeks ago. The only numbers that matter are my blood counts and they are … GREAT! My sister Sally-Ann's stem cells apparently feel right at home in my body – an answer to so many prayers,"
