The Hollywood Gossip: Joe Simpson and Tina Simpson to Divorce Oct 24th 2012, 17:48 The Hollywood Gossip Joe Simpson and Tina Simpson to Divorce Oct 24th 2012, 17:30 Joe Simpson and Tina Simpson, the parents of Jessica and Ashlee, are divorcing after 35 years of marriage. A rep for the famous family confirmed the break-up to Us Weekly via the following statement: "Tina and Joe Simpson have filed for divorce. It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time." The reference to other "allegations" is likely a response to a National Enquirer story that claims Joe came out of the closet a couple months ago and even has a "20-something boy toy." Joe and Tina were both featured back in the day on MTV's Newlyweds and also became second-time grandparents  in May when Jessica and fiance Eric Johnson welcomed daughter Maxwell Drew.
