The new season of Couples Therapy debuted on VH1 Wednesday.
And if you were intelligent enough to watch the Presidential Debate (or ANYthing else) instead of this scripted nonsense, allow us to rundown the impact made by Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison on the program.
Of her 52-year old husband, the new 18-year old said:
"I call him 'Dad' instead of 'Doug' sometimes," to which Hutchison replied: "See, this is the thing ... I'm raising my wife!"
Hutchison, whose decent career includes roles in The Green Mile and Lost, also said that being with Stodden has essentially ended his life as an actor. It almost ended his life, period.
"I got death threats ... my agent dropped me, my manager said marrying Courtney was like taking a gun and shooting my career in the head."
Once inside the Couples Therapy house, meanwhile, Shayne Lamas' husband Nik Richie nearly came to blows with Doug after he referred to Stodden as "trash" in front of her face.
The next episode of Couples Therapy airs on Wednesday night. With Here Comes Honey Boo Boo on hiatus, will this become America's next guilty pleasure?
