Brittany Kerr has apologized for getting cozy with and kissing married country star Jason Aldean at a bar in Los Angeles over the weekend, an indiscretion that was caught on camera and led Aldean to issue his own apology.
The former “American Idol” contestant made her statement early Tuesday.
Kerr said, “The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part.”
She added, “I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends and family.”
In his apology, Aldean said that he “screwed up” after having “too much to drink.”
He’s been married to Jessica Ussery since 2001.
