After footage of the GOP candidate speaking candidly at an exclusive, closed-door fundraiser leaked, Romney has faced harsh words from both political parties. And now notoriously opinionated Goldberg is chiming in, taking issue with a particular portion of the video from the $50,000-a-plate fundraiser in Boca Raton, Fla. "The View is fine," Romney said in the clip. "Although The View is high risk because of the five women on it, only one is conservative. Four are sharp-tongued and not conservative, Whoopi Goldberg in particular. Although last time I was on the show, she said to me, 'You know what? I think I could vote for you.' And I said, 'I must have done something really wrong.'" On Wednesday night, the View host fired back at the Republic presidential candidate in a lengthy Twitter rant. "I once had a great deal of respect for you and many of ur stances," she wrote. "You believed like Teddy Kennedy in healthcare and a woman's right to choose and u seemed to actually care about ur people. That was the man I said was someone worth voting for." But Romney's recent foot-in-the-mouth speech has left Goldberg's with a change of heart. "I understand that while talking to like minded folks you took a respectful observation and wondered what you had done wrong to garner that kind of interest from me," she wrote. "Well Mr Romney the man I was talking about turned into a man who flushed his ideals down the drain only to emerge a confused candidate." Goldberg claimed Romney is confused "about what he really stands for and WHO he stands for," she wrote, accusing him of adapting "a group who stands on the steps of congress and spits on lawmakers without care for whom it's affecting." "Your a man who sheds ideas faster than a snake sheds skin," she said, criticizing his flip-flop politics on United States health care policy. "But that was Months ago before your desperation to be Presedent made u forget your ideals. Yes sir a long time thought you might be an interesting." Then Goldberg took a real dig at Romney, lamenting that he could never live up to the legacy of his father, Republican politician George Wilcken Romney.
