Celebuzz Democratic National Convention: Stars Throw Love-Fest for Barack Obama http://www.celebuzz.com/2012-09-07/democratic-national-convention-stars-throw-love-fest-for-barack-obama/ Sep 7th 2012, 21:11 Okay, not every famous person loved President Barack Obama's acceptance speech on Thurdsay night at the Democratic National Convention. For instance, Donald Trump Jr., whose father is still busy trying to prove that the president's Hawaiian birth certificate is a forgery, tweeted in response to the speech, "Well in 2008 we voted for change & we got it. Higher unemployment +2%, highest debt & most new debt ever, higher gas prices. Keep it up!!!" And Lindsay Lohan clearly disagreed with Obama's refusal to embrace the Republican policy of tax cuts for millionaires (or, as Eva Longoria put it in her own remarks at the convention on Thursday, movie stars like herself don't need tax cuts). Responding to Obama's line that he'd cut taxes for the middle-class families and small businesses that need such breaks, Lohan tweeted, "@BarackObama we also need to cut them for those that are listed on Forbes as 'millionaires' if they are not, you must consider that as well." (Evidently, Lohan later thought better of her tax-cuts-for-Forbes-listers tweet and deleted it, but it lives on as a screengrab at Buzzfeed.) Otherwise, however, most celebrity reaction to the speech was a love-fest, as you can read in the sample tweets below.
