The report came less than a day after Scott, 68, jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge, in Los Angeles. According to the AP, Scott's body was discovered around 3PM, shortly after a phone call was placed to 911, at 12:30PM. A spokesperson for Scott, Simon Halls, confirmed his death shortly after, saying, "I can confirm that Tony Scott has passed away. Notes to loved ones were found inside Scott's car, as well. Scott became best known in the mid-'80s after working with Tom Cruise on such movies as Top Gun and Days of Thunder.
