The biggest stars of Wednesday? Beach volleyball's Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh, who performed incredibly in the Gold-medal final to claim victory over Americans Jennifer Kessy and April Ross. This marks their third-consecutive Olympic gold in beach volleyball. Not bad! Who else won Gold for the United States? Check out our quick rundown, below! 1.) Misty May-Treanor, Kerri Walsh Win All-American Final And London makes three: Beach volleyball superstars Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh defeated fellow-Americans Jennifer Kessy and April Ross to win their third-consecutive Gold medal. Brazil, meanwhile, took home the Bronze. 2.) Allyson Felix Wins Gold, Finally After two disappointing Olympics, in which she finished second, American runner Allyson Felix finally took home the Gold in the 200-meter finals. She did so by beating Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica by .21 seconds. (Carmelita Jeter of Team USA won the Bronze.) 3.) Brittney Reese Jumps to Victory American Brittney Reese won big — Gold, that is — in the Long Jump finals on Wednesday, with an incredible leap of 7.12 meters. The last American to win Gold in the Long Jump was Jackie Joyner-Kersee, who did so in 1988. 4.) Americans Finish Gold, Silver in 100-Meter Hurdles Team USA continued to dominate track and field in the 100-meter hurdles finals, in which Americans Aries Merritt and Jason Richardson finished in first and second place, respectively. Merritt clocked in at 12.91 seconds, while Richardson was close behind, with a time of 13.04 seconds.
