According to TMZ, the incident took place around 10PM on August 4, when Simpson was pulled over by LAPD officers on Ventura Blvd. He was then handcuffed after officers suspected that he was intoxicated. Simpson, 54, subsequently spent the night in prison before he was released without bail the following morning, at 9:41AM. No word yet on whether Simpson will face criminal charges. TMZ adds that because this is his first charge, he will likely face a fine instead.
