With the Democratic National Convention just weeks away, the actress is stepping up to the podium to address the delegates at the Democratic National Convention next month in Charlotte. Longoria, who is one of the co-chairs of the president's reelection effort, will be one of nine women to speak at the convention, reports The Hollywood Reporter. After stumping for Obama in 2008, the actress has become one of Obama's most vocal celebrity supporters in recent months. She hosted the Florida's Women's Summit in early August. Meanwhile, Jessica Alba and her husband, producer Cash Warren, will co-host the week's most important fundraising event, "Super-O-Rama." Who else will be involved at this year's DNC? On the second night of the convention, hip-hop artist and actor Common will perform at a charity benefit for Musicians on Call, a group that makes music available to wounded U.S. service men and women. Jermaine Dupri will deejay the benefit concert.
